The White House Farm Foundation owns and manages Leopold's Preserve, a 380 acre nature conservancy. It is protected by a permanent conservation easement held by the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT). The Preserve is visited daily by community residents, tourists, and educational groups who enjoy its 7 miles of walking trails, observation platforms, wildflower meadows, and interpretive signage that showcase the environmental and historic features of the property and surrounding area.
WHFF sponsors numerous programs at Leopold's Preserve, including guided hikes, homeschool classes, volunteer activities, and lecture series. For more information and to plan your visit to the Preserve, head to www.leopoldspreserve.com.
