WORK WITH US: We're hiring a Seasonal Field Technician to support our work at Leopold’s Preserve! This is an ideal role for someone with baseline land management experience seeking to grow their skills in trail maintenance and habitat restoration. The position runs from March to November 2026. ATTEND A PROGRAM: A list of upcoming educational and volunteer events at the White House Farm (Luray, VA) is available at the bottom of this page. However, most of our educational programs take place at Leopold's Preserve (Haymarket, VA). These programs include guided nature walks, lectures, wildlife surveys, and homeschool programs. VOLUNTEER WITH US: Volunteer events at the White House Farm (Luray, VA) are listed below, but the majority of our volunteer programs are based at Leopold's Preserve in Haymarket. We offer volunteer workdays every Friday morning and on the third Saturday of each month. We also offer the indpendent Trail Ambassador volunteer program, as well as opportunties for citizen science (bird and insect monitoring). INTERN WITH US: We offer our Field Conservation Internship Program each summer. This part-time paid internship is designed for undergraduate students and is based out of Leopold's Preserve in Haymarket. It offers hands-on experience with habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring, public engagement, and more. We are now accepting applications for this program on a rolling basis.
